About Us/Join
The La Crosse Area Quilters Guild was established in 1980 and currently we have approximately 90 members. Our purposes are:
- to promote and advance the art of quilt making in the guild and community
- to provide quality programming and workshops to educate and inspire members
- to provide fellowship opportunities for members
- to share ideas, learn from one another, and encourage fellow quilters
- to sponsor a judged quilt show every two years
- to promote an appreciation of the rich heritage of quilting arts in our community
- to serve our community with charitable activities
We are a diverse group of people unified by our love of quilting and our desire to share this art with others. We wish to welcome other quilters from the novice to the most experienced; those who love traditional quilting to those who celebrate art quilts; those who are looking for friendship with other quilters to those who are searching for avenues of community service.
The heart of our guild is the monthly meetings that consist of a business meeting to cover current and upcoming activities, an interesting program, and show and tell. This time of sharing quilted projects with the group is so much fun and they are received with much enthusiasm and acclaim!
We'd love to have you join us or visit as our guest for a monthly meeting so you can get a sense of who we are and we can have the opportunity to meet you. Come visit, learn, share, enjoy! Please feel free to contact one of our board or committee members with any questions.
